I've been searching stangnet tonight, but I couldn't find anything that matched this... when driving below 15 mph in 2nd gear, it'll rattle/knock (noticeable outside and inside) till it gets to and passes 15... it sometimes makes the noise if I clutch out quickly and low in 1st, once I get up past 1500 rpms that goes away... I was wondering what to check... at first I was thinking tranny mount, but I don't have any noise anytime else (but can feel bumps in the stock shifter) maybe something needs to be tightened or I should check exhaust hangers...

any ideas? Thanks

i think i have the same exact sound coming from under the carriage.
I asked my friend to figure out where the sound is coming from while I was reproducing the sound exactly how you described and him walking by the car.
He thinks it's from the trannie.
I have no idea what the sound is. It somewhat resembles the sound when you try to accelerate going 35 in 5th gear ( you know how sometimes you slow down and forget to shift down because you are caught up in something like talking on the phone :nonono: ) well.. that's the best i could describe it.
Someone please chime in and help us..

Yeah, damn I should have mentioned that... I did just that.. I was only tired though, I was trying to accelerate a little less than 35 in 5th tonight and it makes a similiar noise... is that the tranny or engine bog? If it's the tranny, anyone with 3.73s or higher find that it helped a bit?

Riding the clutch in 2nd under 15 helps a bit, but then again, I don't want to be doing that...
