rattle

I posted this same question a few years ago with many helpfull replies: wedge some cardboard into the seam underneath, get some thin plastic and slide it into the grip around the button; etc. If it isn't bad, these work pretty well, but they won't stop it from getting worse. In the end they weren't enough it still drove me crazy buzzing all the time. I found that the only true solution was to just get a new ebrake lever. It's $100 from LRS, which is a bit of a ripoff, but the leather is nice and it doesn't make a peep. Pretty easy instal too.

thanks stangbear, i have been out for a little while and just getting back to this. what exactly is LRS, dont think i have heard of that. i think i will wait till it gets really bad, cause i am cheap. it only tends to do it under heavier RPMs. i am planning to do a gear change real soon, and know the problem is going to get worse quikly. thanks man, see ya

Yup! That's it. Sorry, for some reason Stangnet isn't emailing me when there's action in my subscribed threads this week.
Jess, dont feel like the lone ranger. ive gotten some notifications today - but since they got this place to not lock up all the time, i had not been getting hardly any either.

Yeah, I figure I'm getting about one out of ten. Have to log in twice a day and check my subscriptions to see what I've missed. Oh well, it takes a lot less time than rebooting everything when it froze up on every other page change.
