I had to move my steering rack forward to install new control arms and now I cannot slide the column back into the rack. Any help? I did align it and try to slide it over but would not move. This is as far as i can go before hitting the imprint.

If you take it off the input shaft, will it extend any further or is that as long as it gets? If that is the limit, then maybe an aftermarket replacement? Did the control arm install instructions mention anything after moving the rack forward?

It looks to me like it's 45 degrees off; that notch facing you on the rack side is for the bolt to slip through. This should only fit together one way, and your tie rods probably moved in the process of this (I did this last year on mine too).

I managed to get it reinstalled. I had it lined up properly before but the clamp or what ever its called wasn't pried apart enough to slide it in.
