'88's have rubbing problems with the skirts. Go just a bit smaller diameter, 245/40R17

You are looking at the front portion of the wheel opening, look at the discoloration (yellow) on the inside

Yup. These don't rub. 225/50x15, OEM 225/60x15 did rub.

I used a transmission jack to remove and install it.
