Reading lights and warning chime won't shut off
Hello all,
I have a 98 Mustang GT convertible, and yesterday I noticed that my reading lights (interior) wouldn't shut off. I found a way that I can toggle the switches for the reading lights to turn them off so it wouldn't drain down the battery. Now, whwnever I am driving, I have the constant "ding, ding, ding, ding" going on. I tried using WD-40 on the door jam switches, tried disconnecting the battery with no luck. The only thing that DOES work is if I take out the fuse, but unfortunately if I do that, I have no AC or radio, and if you live in the South, you have to have AC. Any suggestions? Has anyone had a similiar problem? I am not opposed to cutting the wire to the speaker that makes the ding sound.
