Send it back, along with a Summit catalog.

Ill explain:

2 months ago i ordered what was listed as a push pull switch from jegs. I received this in the mail 2 weeks later:

I called jegs and informed them i was missing the rod and hardware that was supposed to come with the switch. The tech guy said they would take care of it for me and get it shipped right out.

I was told they would call me back after they contacted the company who made the switch.

A day later all the info for the part number i ordered had been changed and i had never received a call back.

I decided to call them back only to be told this time i had received a part that matched what i ordered. I had to explain to them that the page had changed after i had called in and questioned as to why i received the wrong part. I was put on hold for awhile then was told, It was told it was a mistake on their web page and it had been corrected on their end.

However i was then told i needed to pay $30 for the difference. (This is after the tech said they could just send me out the hardware) After the $30 was paid off they would send the correct part and a call tag for what i had received. I told them for $30 dollars more i could get the flaming river switch from summit and i would rather have that. It was a mistake on their end not mine.

After being transferred to a manager i was told they would send a call tag and i would be issued a credit to my account. I stated i didn't want a credit i wanted a full refund and id be taking my business elsewhere. (this was over the course of several phone calls and i was frustrated) They insisted credit to my account stating the correct part was only $30 more. I refused and asked for a full refund... I was then put on hold and told they would send me the part i had originally ordered. At this point i was more then heated and just wanted to get off the phone. So i said yes and received a call tag for the original switch early the next week. I sent the switch back (took me over a week with work) and received an email stating that it had been received and the replacement part was on back order till may 30th (2 weeks later).

This email contained my "shipping address" the street address i currently live at (MD) with my billing state/zip (NJ). I once again contacted customer service to have them fix this issue. As of the 14th i had not seen any tracking confirmation as promised. SO once again i contacted jegs who stated i had already received and signed for the part.

The signature was someone at the apartment office (who also didnt notify me of a shipment) I went to pick it up only to find that the apartment complex had lost the package... It just turned up today...

So for the record the unisteer switch that jegs sells is the same as the summit switch but with a price mark up (Summit sticker and all):

I guess they didnt want to lose the sale or customer. But now after seeing they just are selling a marked up summit part i dont know what to think.

The initial price it was listed for was $63 + the $10ish dollar handling charge. That put it at about $10 under summits price. When every dollar counts i thought it was worth it. But after having to waste gas and time to correct the issue ill be sticking to summit from now on.

Im happy with the part so i guess it doesent matter. But i emailed jegs to let them know. Uni-steer probably makes the summit switch and the one jegs had listed. It just happened to ship out with the summit sticker.

However it does seem to be a high quality switch so however you want to order it you will be happy.

Jegs normally has good customer service it was not my intention to bash them (i probably just slipped through the cracks). Just wanted people to be informed that the summit switch is the same product at a better price!

Never ordered from Jugs, probably never will. Summit has best unbeatable service, and a price match guarantee. If you call them with the URL of the best price you can find on the internet, they'll sell! to you for the same price. Never failed me yet.
