Really need help figuring out which rotors I have...

alright, sorry it took so long for me to get back to this thread, but i had about an hour of down time at work with nothing to do and i could not find a single rotor that would fit the description. i couldnt measure the 93 cobra rear rotors because we dont stock them, but i seriously doubt that those are the ones we are looking for. i looked at explorer rotors and anything that would possibly fit that bolt circle and couldnt find anything. my mind is boggled

TC rotor measurements from an old used TC rotor:

OD = 10 5/32"

Offset from inside face where axle sits to inside rotor face 2"

Hole for axle 2 1/2"

Rotor thickness (used rotor) 15/16"

Subscribing, since I'm interested also. A friend and I were talking yesterday about rear rotors and my Mark VII setup. He was wondering about the newer Mark VIII rotors also, and maybe making them work with Ranger axles and fabricated brackets.

Mike,

He's just thinking about the rotors since he said it looks like the hats were shorter than the others and that would bring the rotor closer to the wheel face. He would use some other calipers maybe and design his own brackets kind of like the North Racecars brackets. But if anyone could make a complete Mark VIII rear end work, he probably could if he wanted to. He makes and designs all kinds of tidbits for cars and such.

OK, I just took a few pics. They have the wheels on but it might give you an idea anyway. I meant to take some at work today but forgot my camera and wheel lock key so, yeah.

I'm gonna download resize them and see if I can find somewhere to host them so it'll be about an hour.

A trip to the junkyard today for some reconnaissance reviled that the Lincoln MK 8 had similar rotors. But they were not thick enough and did not have the right offset. Cougars seemed to be in the same boat. Lincoln town cars have solid rotors that aren’t thick enough either.

I noticed that the front rotors were always thicker than the rear rotors. The TC rotor is about 29/32" thick or a little less than 23 MM, thicker than any of the other rear rotors I saw. Could it be that our “Mystery Rotor” is the front rotor from some 5 lug car?

Check the above measurements against your rotor so that we can confirm that it is a TC rotor.
