I work at a Dodge dealership in the service department and we have a guy who comes around and picks up scrap metal. On the back of his truck today he had a five lug Ford rear axle stamped with "FOZW AA5" on the back of his truck that he had just picked up from the Ford dealer. I noticed it had the brackets and stuff for rear discs on it, so I talked him into letting me have it. I took it apart and it had one bad bearing in it and besides that it looked ok. I have a 1990 GT convertible and my question is this: Can I use the axles, caliper brackets, dust shields, rotors and mounting plates on my car to convert it to rear discs? If so, what else would I need?
