rear axle

hi
i have rear axle from t bird 78
it is 8.8/9 i think (i dont know to identify )
can i place it in my mustang 67 that have 8 inch rear axle ?

If it's a '78 T-bird rear end, it's most likely a 9-inch. However, I'm pretty sure that rear end is setup for coil springs and not leaf. It's probably also wider than the current rear end under your car.

If this is the case, the rear end will fit but not without modifications first.
