Rear Brake hose location

The hose is different between single and duel ex. The duel ex hose has a longer bracket and curls around the axel tube to the front. If you order brake lines for a duel ex car they meet up with the distro block nicly. The front to back line really only goes in one way. On the V8 car it runs on the outside of the frame rail in the front where the 6 cyl car runs on the inside all the way up. Just did a 6 to 8 duel ex set of lines. I have two of those special rear hoses and still can't find either one...

I have drilled the spot welds on the bracket and moved it over, and reattached it. If you have original floor pans, there are enlongated dimples where the bracket goes for the dual ex style brake line. Facing the rear of the car, the bracket would go about 4-6 inches to the left-closer to the drivers side rear wheel. When you lay the brake line in, you will see where the line ends up over there. It's not super critical.
I also was not clear in my previous post. I was refering to the FUEL line where I said the 6 cyl runs on the inside of the frame at the front, and the V8 crosses over and runs on the outside at the front. You will need to drill a couple holes (maybe) to attach the retaining clips up front.

I have never looked to buy that bracket. Just cut it off and reattach it.

Front wheel bearings. You should not be able to move the wheel back and forth...there should be very little play. Are the castle nuts snug on the spindle? I have run accross situations where the wrong bearings were installed and the hub does not tighten up on the bearings properly. Should be a good solid fit. Do not over tighten.

NPD sells the dual exhaust bracket for 65-66. It's about $7. The F to R brake line is different in that the bracket is moved over towards the driver's side a few inches so the line is a bit longer after the last bend. You can just relocate the stock single exhaust bracket and bend the existing line to fit if you have to, though. The hose to the rear axle is also different and costs $40-50 instead of the single's $20. I'm thinking that maybe the braided SS sleeved hose from Russell may not be that bad...On sale, no less! I think NPD also sells a Russell-specific dual exhaust brake brake line bracket.

If you go to the KAR Mustang website, they have an article regarding relocating the bracket. It is moved ~10 or so inchs towards the outside of the vehicle. There is an indentation in the floor pan for the dual exhaust brake line bracket. It will require a new line from the MC
