Sounds strange and I cant find any info on this problem for the life of me. Anway took off both rear calipers to re lube pistons and seals, because 2 slide pins had seized and figured I'd do the whole thing. The one side went back together like a breeze but the left side the piston is just spinning but not going back into the caliper and im putting a nice amount of pressure on it and turning at same time, so i was looking inside the piston and the female threaded part is spinning freely. Im thinking its not supposed to do that and the piston is shot but i have never heard of that happening.

to better explain there is a threading bolt inside the caliper that the piston spins back onto and that part is locked in place but inside the piston the recieving part that is threaded is, so while im spinning the piston the inside is spinning as well preventing the piston from resetting. Thanks for any and all help

What cardnal said. If its broke its time to upgrade, why spend money on stock if you can get cobra brakes for a little more.

Cobra rear calipers and hanger brackets are identical. Its the pads, rotors and backing plates/axle brackets that are different.

buyfordracing.com has the rear upgrade kit for like 175, you just need new pads and a new caliper.
