Rear brake piston?

Which way do you turn the piston to go in???

I'm pretty sure it's clockwise, while compressing it, too. May be a dumb question, but do you have the tool to do it?

i have one but it didn't fit. So im just doing it with some adjustible pliers. One more rotor to go now

yeah i had the tool that didnt fit ethier when i did mine, used some needle nose pliers.

all u have to do with the tool is grind on it a little bit on one of the sides, and it works like a charm.

As mentioned above you have to grind or file the tool down to fit and turn clockwise to compress it. I had to use alot of cussing too when I changed out my rear brake pads while I did my axle bearings last week.

Do you plan on bleeding the brakes? If so you can open the bleeder, which would make turning the pistons easier.

When I did mine, the pistons were frozen in the bores, so the tool was useless at first and I thought I was doing it wrong. Turns out, the pistons were frozen and I ended up popping them out of the calipers and hitting the bore and pistons with some emery cloth and gave them a good cleaning with some brake cleaner and some clean brake fluid. All is well 4 years later.
