putting new pads on mustang today. having trouble getting enough room for the caliper to go over the new pads. do you have to push in on the piston while rotating it for the piston to move in or do you just have to rotate it. i dont have the special tool, i am just rotating it using channel lock pliers. i am about 1/4 in away from getting the caliper over the new pads.

thanks for the help

for anyone else who does this little task and doesnt know, you have to push and rotate the piston in. it can be done using a good set of needle nose pliers but u will lose some skin.
