Anyone ever install them? From what application did your parts come from? Are your axles the OEM stock length for a 94-95?? Going to the big 9 inch Ford rear style housing ends on the OEM 8.8 housing. Would like to use the largest drum brakes I can find. This is a drag car only with an automatic and I need the most rear clamping power I can get for use with a high stall torque convertor.
Anyone??

It was my impression that drum brakes were inferior to a disc brake setup. No offense, but are you sure that drums are the way you want to go?

You may find your info by looking at a drum-to-disc conversion on a Fox-body Mustang. If I remember right, you might be able to swap parts with a Fox owner and use theirs to convert to drums.

If it's big brakes you want, try Vintage Venon - they have a kit to convert to the 2007+ Shelby Cobra 14" brake system.

I think going to the drum brakes has more to do with the 9" housing ends then preferring drum brakes. Disk brakes are obviously better. I'm pretty sure there aren't too many options for putting disk brakes on a 9" rearend, and they are all expensive. Not sure what the reasoning is for the 9" housing ends. You can go all the way up to 12"x2" drum, which is what came on a truck. Those drums are very heavy though, and are going to slow you down. I'm sure Aerospace Components makes a disk brake kit you can use, but you won't have a parking brake. The best solution would be to go ahead and get a trans brake.
