My project is a 65 coupe and I just got a 347 stroker built for it. Has a mild ford hydrolic roller cam in it. Ford intake and a Holley 570 carb, Edelbrock heads with roller rockers. They said i'll be pushin close to 400 HP and 400 ft/lbs of torque. Thing is i have the original rear end in it still. Is this rear end going to handle it the power of the new motor? If not any suggestions on what i should put behind it??
I also had a performance AOD built for it. The guy at my trans shop asked me what gears i had in the rear before he built it and i just told him the stock gears for now. If i change out my rear to different gears is that going to cause problems with my AOD since he built it according to stock ratio rear end?
Thanks !!
