hey guys, this is my first thread. i was wondering what rear diff ratio i should
get. i have the stock 8 inch open rear, dont know what gear yet. i want a locker and probably 3.55 or 3.80. my trans is '92 t-5. rear tires p295/50r15.

Relating to fox 5.0 guys with 8.8"'s, the 3.73 recommendation is probably the most popular. I have 3.55's in one stang and like them. Guys tend to also like 4.10's (3.90s are an option, but they are not a Ford gear).
Now we dont know what your motor is gonna be like - you might be making enough power that lesser gear works great. But you can kinda see the range of gears we like, so you can adapt that to what is available for your 8".

i found a 3.80 gear from richmond for my 8 inch-i think ill go with that-
as for my motor-i dont know how much power it will have, but ive been told around 375+ with a good tune. see signature for specs.
