I have a 91 LX with a factory rear end and I noticed when I lay down the throttle it seems I am spinning only 1 tire out. I am looking both to increase the gear ratio to 3.73 and to get more locking of th axles. Here are my 2 options I was thinking of doing:

1. Buy a complete 8.8" rear end with traction lok
2. Rebuild my 7.5" rear end, changing the gears out also. My question is did the Fox mustangs already have some sort of differential locking and mine is not working right? If I went with this option what would I need to do to restore traction to both wheels?

Is the car a 5.0 or was it a former 4 cylinder? If it's 5.0 then you already have an 8.8 Trac-Loc. If you are getting the one wheel peel your clutches in the rearend are worn out and it just needs a rebuild. If you are going to rebuild stock 8.8 then throw some better gears in at the same time. Can't go wrong with a set of Ford Racing 3.73's.
