so i did a rear end swap from a 95 to my 92 to get disc brakes and 5 lug swap. i talked to a guy ahd he said the axles are too long and i will have problems with it. he also said i need a proportion valve to keep the brakes the same. is all this true?

Yeah, true...I am in the middle of pretty much the same swap, and your axles, like mine from the Turbo Coupe rear are .75" longer - and yes, you do need an adj. prop valve and a '93 Cobra MC.

I'm trying a manual MC in my "off road" car. I will have no report on the results of this until early spring.

I am about to jack up my TC rear and see if my 255's on stock wheels fit. According to what I've gathered it will be close. I'm hearing 275 DR's will need fender work.

Northracecars (not an endorsement) has brackets to allow stock length axles for my TC rear, not sure if they have something to do the same for you.

Depends on how you did the swap. Did you swap in the whole rear assembly in one peice from the 95? Or did you try and put the 95 axles in to the 92 rear?

If you went the whole axle route, it should be fine except that the tires will stick out aout 3/4" on each side. The 95 rear is wider. Depending on what size tires yu are runinng you may have a clearance problem.

If you are putting the 95 axles into the 92 rear then you will need diffrent rear caliper brackets to compensate for the wider rear axles.

There is a ton of info here-- www.sn95brakes.com

In any case you wil have to gut the stock porprtioning valve and add an adjustable one with the rear discs.

Good luck

The outcome or end result will be the same wether he used the Entire 95 Rear or just use the Axles and Hardware as the Housings are "Exactly" the same.
