My friend rear ended me today in the rain. No more than 15-20 mph, but still sucks.

Visible damage: Right corner of bumper facia heavily dented in, taillight off center a little, dent in the top of my SLP tip.

After I removed the facia: Metal paneling under and below the taillight dented inwards and warped, bumper itself maybe a centimeter bent inwards, along with bumper mount on right side.

The paneling that was dented and bent up is connected to the rear quarter panel, or is rather a part of. This concerned me a lot since that is vital to a lot of important seams, and I hear is ridiculous to repair or replace. However, it doesn't appear that any of the gaps between the trunk line, c pillar, or passenger door line are any different. They seem identical to the driver's side, for which im most grateful right now. Still, I don't see how what's damaged could be easily repaired.

I'm going in for an estimate tomorrow, but does anybody have any clue to what I might be looking at here? This seems like the sort of thing that could be fairly large or just minor work. I'm not really looking forward to either, though.

Btw, his Nissan Frontier was pretty f'd up. Hood bent up and out of shape, front grill bent, cracked, and moved, all the plastic surrounding the headlights as well. The front left quarter panel REALLY bent outwards, especially at the driver door, his bumper also bent pretty bad. Worst part: his radiator looks completely dislodged and destroyed and all his antifreeze was pouring out.

Go go american cars :flag: :(

I saw someone in an xterra in a similar collision with a suburban..the suburban barely took a dent to the bumper and the nissan looked like your friends truck, except she couldnt even open her door! busted both headlights, fenders, radiator, everything.. the suburban looked like it backed over a little mailbox or something.

those nissans dont take a frontal impact very well at all.

Sucks man dont know what to tell ya.

Sounds similar to mine getting hit a week ago. It should be in the shop next week. The jeep that hit me though was pretty messed up. Looks like I'm just gonna need a new hood, I dont know if they can repair fiberglass? And the bumper is cracked. $1500 in damage no big deal but I just want my car back. And sorry I dont mean to hijack.
