how often do you have to add a quart? i had a pretty good leak and i never really had to add oil in between a change. thered be oil on the floor at night too. How much oil are u exactly losing? if your having to add oil becuase of this leak than i guess you got a pretty bad leak and your gonna to pull the trans

i im definitely adding oil between oil changes. the problem is i work 7 days/week and im saving up to put a down payment on a new car so i don't wanna put any money into the stang cause i was gunna store it for like a year.

How many miles are on the engine? With older motors its almost pointless to change the rear main seal, because the new ones will start leaking in a matter of months anyway. The bearings in the engine wear out causing the crank to sag and wear the main seals into ovals.

could be other things that cause the leak also and not just the rear main.
have you look at the gasket on your lower intake, or your valve cover, possibly the gromet tha holds the PVC is sloppy and oil is bypassing it.

i changed all of those because i thought that also. the engine is 2 years old with 10k on it

haha of course you have a rear main seal leak! you own a 5.0 mustang!
seriously though, i've had to replace mine 3 times now, in less than 3 years.....
