My rear main seal is leaking and I need to find a installer tool. I looked eveywhere around me and I found nothing. I found one for over $100 but thats pricey for a 1 time use. Does anyone know where one can be rented or purchased for cheap? Thank you

If you have an autozone near you..try them I think they rent tools out...

when i did mine all i did was use the old seal and a rubber mallet worked perfect. no problems as of yet!

I took a piece of PVC pipe and wacked the seal in with a mallet. Forgot the size of the pipe though.

you dont need no tool for the rear main seal. pull the old one out carefully with a screw driver, clean the surface up, then tap the new one on with a small hammer.
