So i'm puttin my new clutch in and my rear main seal is leaking so I'm at the point now where everything is out, but I can't get the rms out. i tried a screwdriver, but i don't understand how to "pinch" it to get it out. Anyone have any ideas or tips?

Have you tried running a screw through it and then pull it out?
Try to center the screw and don't got to deep toy don't want to scratch the end of the crank

man!!!! I still can't get it. Is there any metal in the seal cause all i can do is get the rubber on the outside off, but the rest of the seal won't come. Please someone help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ideally you would use a seal puller to remove it as to not cause damage to the crank, or the machined cap. However I have had to use a rubber mallet and several screw drivers before. Sometimes your lucky and sometimes its a PIA! Safest way I believe is to attack it from the outside ring edge. Tap in then pry the screwdriver outward towards the side of the car. Takes some time im sure.

Yeah, it was pretty stiff, but eventually a buddy of mine came over and helped out. Apparently the screwdrivers I had just didn't seem strong enough, but he had a nice hard flathead that eventually worked. But it was quite the pain. Thanks for all the help!
