I have a set of brakes off of an 87 t-bird turbo coupe. Does any one know how to make the stock brakets from the t-bird work on the mustang, or fabricate a set to work. the t-bird axels are 3/4 an inch wider than the mustang axels? Does anyone know any thing about this brake conversion or these brackets? PLEASE HELP!

There are three ways to make the TC calipers & brackets work. Use them as is and use the TC axles, thus pushing the wheels out the 3/4", get the www.northracecars.com $150 brackets, or modify the stock brackets by cutting them and mounting them inside the axle flange like in this thread on the SN95 brackets: http://www.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=3123067#post3123067

I have seen pictures of the TC brackets cut into a "C" shape and then bolted to the axle flange with a few washers as spacers to center the caliper on the rotor using stock Mustang axles.

There's a lot more than bolt and go with rear disk brakes. See http://www.svo73mm.cjb.net/ for all the answers on what parts you need to make it work correctly.

I have a T-bird Turbo Coupe rear axle in my stang, and it it took some research & effort on the brake system to get it working good.
