rear problem

Well I think I killed my rear at ILAND raceway > Fri night > now I have this really bad KLUNK when I let the clutch out >Broken tooth or teeth or I don't know anyway . I'm going to open it up tomorrow to see how bad it is . NO IT IS NOT A U-JOINT OR BROKEN TRANS MOUNT > I have already checked those > > my Question is who make the best replacement rear ? Auburn > Eaton? or OBX? < there new on the market > I've heard some good thinks about them . the car is going to be my daily driver but will see alot of throttle time > fri nights is race night and I kill every import I can on a regular basis . I don't mind it being hard on tires or stiffer than normal > I just want one that grips really REALLY GOOD > whats your .02

well that really bite knowing that it has 28 spline axles > I was really hoping it was like my lightning and had a 31 spline rear in it > . > car has NEW tube upper and lower control arms > so no its not my bushings > it deff sounds like it's inside the rear > so it's going to come open as soon as I get time and day light > guess i'll start pricing 31 spline axles and a new center for it >

your axles will move in and out a bit, depending on how worn yours is its a toss up. mine moves in and out at least an 1/8 in or so on both sides. oh and dont be bumbed about 28 spliners, man. the guys i run with here in denver, nc. run them till they hit around 600hp in there cars (they buy, sell, and trade there stangs like you or i change our underware). and they only swap them cause they dont wanna be stranded if they break. there race cars are there daily drivers to.
