rear seat delete kits

where can i find a rear seat delete kit for a 79 to 86 mustang hatch back or should i just remove it and let it be maybe build my own kit

ebay has them, not sure how much, i saw one auction that had the plans to make a rear seat delete for like $12.........personaly i would not make one out of wood but make it out of fiberglass, blend it in and make it all look smooth.....my 2 cents

Depends really, how neat do you want it to be? I am going to make mine soon as I find a piece of carpet at Lowes or something that matches on the color. Just going to take my rear seats out, and redo the hatch carpet and make it all one piece and fit to where the new carpet meets. It will look plenty good enough for me, but you can do all sorts of things. Just whatever you want I guess.

My rear seat delete is like the 93 Cobra R
All they did was remove the rear seats and lay matching carpet from the rear of the hatch up to where the rear seat would be
Adding a Rear seat delete "kit" defeats the purpose of removing the rear seat to save weight.

I removed my rear seat so that I would not have to carry people in the back.
My LX is way too low for rear passengers!

Are all of you guys and gals making rear seat delete "kits" for some other reason?

i want to do a rear seat delete because I want to make mine into an enclosed cargo area. I'm gonna build a couple places for some subs and make it all look good. I don't want to do it necessarily for weight savings, I want to do it for personal preference since I never haul people around in the back seat and I want some more cargo room
