Rear Seat Question

I'm tearing apart part of my car (1990 Notch) to install some sound deadening (Damplifier) and noticed the jute/padding behind the rear seats. The car is 16 years old so this padding is just plain falling apart. I've searched around and can't find a replacement so I'm wondering if people have gone and made their own custom padding. I was thinking about going to home depot and getting a few yards of some foam or carpet padding and using that instead. Any ideas?

my seats in my 88 gt are still perfect as far as the foam is, theres some stains on teh back seats...lol y not find a local junk yard and get another pair, im sure not all cars are the same cuz not all back seats are sat in if u know what i mean. or take them to an professional and let them redo them all.

I'm thinking about installing some Damplifier also. When will you do the install? Are you going to do the doors? Are you only using Damplifier or are you going to get some overkill or spectrum?

I'm thinking about just installing them on the doors and in the rear hatch (which you don't have:) ). I want my speakers to have a little more midbass and I'm trying to cut down on some rattles and exterior noises.

I'd love to see some pics of the install and also hear about the results.

These Infinity Kappa speakers are awesome! I haven't completely finished this little project of mine but so far so good.

Dec, I don't have a digi-cam, sorry! I'll let you know how the car sounds after I'm done. I'm only using Damplifier by itself with nothing else, put some along the the metal areas between the door panels and also some where the speakers meet the door. Also ordered an Alpine deck from crutchfield so I'm waiting for that to come so I can finish up my system.
