^^ IMHO getting the old bushings and cups out are more difficult that putting the sphericals in. either way not a very difficult job
I do just happen to have 4 slightly used, modestly ridiculed 3" worm gear clamps for just that purpose,.....give me his address and I'll send them to him.Looks good man. I think madmike1157 has some left over worm clamps he can lend you to strap those brake lines to the axle tubes![]()
my uppers are solid in the housing. im using UPR radius arm uppers which have a heim joint on each end. took about 5 minutes to get the old bushing out with an air hammer and a dull bit.srtthis are those spherical bushings by chance were they difficult to install
Now what would be involved in putting the new bushings in just slide them in or do thy need to be pressed in
Put them in the freezer the night before you install them. Then take them out right before you slide them in. They'll shrink a little that way.
Me tooOK yeah I'm going with Upr double adjustable with spherical in the housing
my friend did mine and no cracks and he did the double flares on both sides i have a problem though i have the exact same set up as you with the rear end mine came out of a 95 gt .i went with stainless fuel and brake lines as well i have the 1987-93 brake lines and i need to mate the one main line .what fitting did you uses i am thinking 7/16 female fitting on one end to 3/16 male fitting on the other?i don't want to confuse anyone if you look at the rear end where they meet in the center that brake hose goes to the top .i need a compression fitting or something similar any ideas autozone and oreilys didn't have anything close.not exactly... they are stainless hard lines. double flaring stainless isnt all that easy. you need to heat it up so it doesnt crack

mine are different being a 95 rear end and 87-93 linesmy center hose is for a standard V8 87-93 car
my end hoses are for an 85-86 SVO. all the fittings are as they came from ford.
