Got this annoying clunk on the LR side. I've tried to wiggle the shocks, lugnuts r tight. Has anyone else had this problem?? Presently I have those Sensa Trac shocks (not my choice). They seem to be tight. Its almost a constant noise except when I'm on really smooth pavement. Anyone??

I had that issue on my car under hard launches and even on the street right before I found the issue. Turns out my shock was blown, but I couldnt tell until I unbolted it, and pushed on the bottem of it. It sucked up and stayed there... Put another shock we had in, and it hasent made any noises since!

The control arms are also another place that might be causing the noise!

also take a close look at your exhaust, mainly the tail pipes. Check that they are not rubbing or hitting anything. Common places they can hit are the front of the axle tube, gas tank, upper control arms, rear sway bar, floor pan, etc. You could also try going through and making sure all the bolts in the rear suspension are tight, and check all the bushings

Upper/lower control arms, any of the control arm bushings, could be the spring or spring insulator, check for structural damage around torque boxes, take the shocks off and check them, could possibly be in the rearend. Basically anything in the rear could cause that problem.

I actually had the same problem but on my pssgr rear. At first I checked to make sure everything was tight and not moving by hand. About week later as I was installing new shocks and springs. I found the culprit!!! Turned out to be the bottom bolt that held the shock had 5 threads sheard off all around. No way to tell just by looking at it. Just a few threads was enough to make a noticable konk sound. I replaced it and no more noise.

hehe the guy i bought my car from sid i had performance shocks and struts on there... they said sensatrac on them and since i didnt know anything about suspension back then i thought he was telling the truth.... i walk into my local brake-masters and see this ad for monroe sensa-trac shocks/struts and i go  ...stupid, stupid car
