Rear Suspension Help!

What are the horizontal shocks on the rear suspension called? It looks like one of them on my car is shot. Any suggestions on what to replace them with?

Quad shocks...even though the the name doesn't quite fit, this is how you'll find them. KYB sells em by the pair for around $90.00, but you can surely find them for less. Heck, if you put LCA's on, you really don't need these at all - most people take them off when adding LCA's.

It's called a quad shock....get some good lower control arms then ditch both of em! They aren't needed at that point....then enjoy your new found traction!

Thanks! I think i'll do some reseach on LCA's before replacing the shocks.

quad shocks do little but act as a weak band-aid. blown or not, quads are basically worthless, Ford puts them on so the factory lca's wont do the macarena, but they still like to dance.

So they just do the lambada?

Certain suspension setups will let you remove the quads with little to no impact, e.g. TA+PH.
