I have a 8.8 rear end. BMR adjustable upper and lower control arms. Polyurethane bushings. New control arm hardware. Eibach drag springs. Bilstein rear shocks. When everything is assembled, and on the ground, I try to bounce the rear end and it feels very, very stiff. I even went and got the special Polyurethane grease. (The white sticky stuff) Is it supposed to be that stiff, or is it just me? Has anyone experienced this? I am afraid I may have to change out the springs, or the control arm bushings for non Polyurethane??

What are you trying to set the car up for? If it’s drag racing then did you get the drag specific Bilstein shocks? Did you torque the control arm bolts with the car level and the suspension loaded?

What is your suspension set up in the front?

Its just a street car, maybe random trips to strip. No, I guess I didnt torqe the control arms with suspension loaded. I have been doing the work in the driveway on jack stands. In the front end I have AJE tubular frame and a arms, koni coil overs. No engine in the car yet, so setting ride height is gonna have to wait.

Loosen the rest control arms and then put about a half turn on each nut. Drop the car back down and see how it works.

I think you have some mismatch in the rear with the drag springs but that is just me.

I was thinking the same. I was contemplating going to a lowering spring, but that may create a whole new set of problems....im going to leave the arm bolts loose and put weight on it and see what that does

Also, typically how you set up suspensions with rubber or poly bushings is to do like I said above and then drive the car around the block to get the suspension to settle in and then torque things up with the suspension fully loaded.
