I have a 93 Cobra that I bought bone stock 4 years ago with 29k miles on it. I upgraded the suspension a year later with the following:
FRPP Progressive springs front and rear.
Mac Upper/Lowers
BBK Subs
Last year the Mac Upper control arms went on the driver's side with only 4k miles on them. I trashed the Mac Uppers/Lowers and replaced with FRPP uppers and Maximum lowers. I also replaced the stock rear shocks with KYB AGX adjustables when putting in the new uppers/lowers.
I've been working on another problem with the rear end this past week ( but won't get into that one ) and noticed that the driver's side suspension is softer than the passanger side.....at least it seems that way....
When I lift the rear from the diff housing ( in the middle of the pumpkin ) the driver's raises about 2" before the passenger side engages. Then, when the passenger side engages, the car starts to raise....there is almost no give on the passenger side. Also, if the car is on jackstands with the stands holding the car on the rear frame.....the driver's side will raise off the jackstand well before the passenger side.
Has anyone seen this? Is this normal, plz forgive me as I am a newbie....but trying
thanks
