My rear shocks are going out and so now my rear sway bar snapped at the passenger side mount. Since I obviously need to replace rear shocks and swaybar, do you think I should replace the front while I'm at it? I was planning on doing some suspension mods anyway. Another thing, I'm getting my gears installed tomorrow, without that sway bar, am I gonna have to keep my foot out of it until I get it replaced? That would suck, but I'll do what I have to in order to take care of my car. Thanks for suggestions.

I picked up the cobra spec rear sway bar for about $100.00 and have not had a problem since and that has been about five years ago that mine broke.

I have a stock rear GT bar sitting in the garage. If you're interested, PM me.

Thanks, but I went ahead and bought an Eibach Pro Kit front and rear sway bar to go with my KYB rear shocks. I'm putting them on Friday. Any idea why the sway bar snapped? My shocks are bad in the back, I'm thinking maybe just because of the extra stress put on it. It broke on the passenger side where it mounts to the lower control arm.

SN95 mustangs are notorious for breaking the rear sway bar. As for the reason I have no clue. Mine snapped in half right at the bolt on the passenger side. It's nothing unusual though, just another $hitty ford factory part.

I broke mine about 2 years ago and I haven't noticed any performance loss or gain so I'm not in a hurry to get another one. Mine broke in the same place...right at the bolt hole on the passenger side.

mine was broken when i bought the car, but it has subframe connectors and i just installed uca/lca's and it seems fine without it.

What kind of UCA/LCA's and subframe connectors did you get? Did they really help out the handling? I want to beef up my handling reall good because I live down a back road with a lot of twisties, so I love to just cruise at 70 and take the turns.
