I put some lakeside LCAs on my car today and went to put the sway bar on and it hangs down low so i left it off, it drove alright home, Im just wondering if i luanched it hard what it would o or if it will make much differance. Me and my dad thought about heating and bending the stock bar to make it not stick down as much but didnt know if that would make it not work as good or what. What do you guys do for rear sway bars with aftermarket LCAs?

Lakeside LCAs? Never heard of that, but my dad ran some LCAs and my brother does as well that hangs the sway bar low, and they never had an issue with it.

I would NOT leave it off. It would do nothing but harm to leave it off. I can't see that sway bar ever hitting anything?

i had a set of tubular lca's that didn't have provisions for the rear sway bar an didn't notice a difference. the lcas were so much stronger an had much better bushings so i just left it off. if you hit the twisties hard u may want to keep it for for draggin an commuting i think you'll be ok with out it.

The car is a DD with some trips to the track so i dont do to much twistes expect on ramps. Ill take pics of it tommarow to show what im talking about.

I used Pro-Forms. I installed the LCA's and I couldn't get my rear sway bar back on. I look and the tabs are offset on the control arm....then I see a small R and an L stamped in them....I was like WTFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never seen R and L before on LCA's!!! Now I have to flip flop them to get the sway bar back on. I have driven all summer without it..

What does it even do? My car handles great on the eway. I think it keeps the rear end from swaying more than the car.

I have pro3i lower control arms and the sway bar also sits lower than stock. You can definitely see it from the rear now with the new control arms. I also feel like since the sway bar was moved down the car doesn't handle quit as well as it did before. However, this could very well be my imagination.
