rear swaybar hitting exhaust

My rear swaybar sits only about an inch below my exhaust pipes. When I hit a bump sometimes I can hear the swaybar bang into the exhaust pipes. I have been able to minimize this by adjusting the position of the exhaust pipes but I have not been able to completely eliminate it.
Has anyone else had this problem or come up with a fix for it?

I haven't had that exact problem, but I am sure you could go to an exhaust shop, and have them fab up a bent piece to fit in there for more clearance.

I havent had the sway bar hit the pipes... but I can see where the axle has hit the pipes.

I have the magnaflow catback and experienced the same thing, I had the exhaust shop dent in the exhaust tube a little where it was hitting

I have the same problem. I need to get under the car and see if I can adjust it a little more.

I had the same problem when I had my Magnaflow. I got it to the point where it would only hit on large bumps, but it got to the point where it would loosen the tips after a while.
Annoyed me so much I got rid of it and got the Steeda catback. No more problems now.

I have the same problems with my Magnapack catback. I just learned to deal with the noise I tighten the tips once in a blue moon.

At least I know I'm not the only one with this problem. I'm thinking maybe I can remove the tailpipes, bend them slightly, reinstall them and hopefully have the clearance I need.

It's a common problem with magnaflows. I had mine adjusted a little to where it only hits on large bumps. I've just learned to deal with it though it is annoying at times.

Are you sure it's the Swaybar? usually the pipes hit the UCA's, Axles and/or Gas Tank Cover in the majority of the cases

either way best thing to do it get the pipes bent

Mine (driver's side) sat too close to the gas tank as well. I finally had that fixed, but the tip is now too close to the rear bumper. Now I'm getting smoke on the cutout! Since the tips are already welded, I might just get another catback.

mine was definitly hitting the sway bar there was a mark on it.

Mine was definitely hitting the sway bar. I just installed a new set of Steeda swaybars and I could see the mark where is was rubbing on the old swaybar.

My catback hits the gas tank cover. Not really any problems anywhere else, but the way the flowmaster kit is made doesnt exactly allow for any good adjustments. Its one long pipe from the muffler outlet all the way to the tip, and you can only move the entire piece, which either makes it rest on something (ZERO clearance), or you give it clearance an the tip just looks like **** because it doesnt come out even through the cutouts.
