When I look to the right while driving the Mustang, all I see is the rear view mirror. I'm not very tall (6' ) so I can't believe I'm the only one that has this problem.

Anyone know of a solution? Aftermarket mirror? Bracket relocation? New car? STFU and quit whining?

im 6' 0" and i look really stupid in a little mustang (seeing myself in a building's reflection), so i slouch as much as possible. its an art to get the seat just right. mine's about 3/4 back and slightly tilted. not pimp tilt, comfortable tilt. thats how i roll

Try pushing the mirror all the way up the tilting to the desired position.

Here's a cheesy profile drawing to illustrate.

AaaaaaaaaHa! Thank you guys, I didn't realize the post was adjustable too. Much much better now.

Chili, the drawing was perfect. :nice:

thats good info, i too didn't know the the neck was adjustable. I'm gonna give it a try, but i should wait til it cools down some. Its 94 here today and i don't want to rip it off.

i am 5'10'' and i think the seating position sucks, i can't imagine being you taller guys!? its the one time i like being short otherwise i would be ****ed. I am not a fan of the seat all the way back driving thing.

is that all? it was 99 yesterday and it felt about the same today. :notnice: but that is unusually hot for jersey tho.

Your back hurts after a while because the seats lack ANY support at all. Pieces of *****.

I'm 6'3".

man.. i'm feeling really short now, i'm 5'4" and i even lean my seat all the way back, just because i cant stand being crammed up against the steering wheel since i have to have the seat scooted way up so i can push the clutch in far enough that it wont stall out at a light.. i never would've imagined the mirror getting in anybody's way, but then again i've never been very tall..

I feel your pain...I'm 6' 6" and I sit in the car like I'm riding a go-kart with my knees almost hitting the dashboard. Forget about making a hard left turn with the indicator on...I start to wash the windshield because my knee is pushing on the button. I've been thinking about going to a racing seat but I don't know if the seat becomes any lower. :(

I've also been thinking about ripping out the driver's seat entirely and using the back seat. I'd get back my sorely missed leg room.

P.S. I did make a 4 hour road trip in the sardine-like seating position without having to stop for a leg stretch. I think that is a feat in itself.

hey you need to get the kenny brown seat extension rails...will add 4 inches of leg room! the best 100 dollars i've spent on my mustang. do a search we've talked about them here before.
