Someone please help. At cruising speeds I hear a constant "clicking" sound coming from my rear tires. When I brake it becomes louder. I bought the car used with 50000 miles on it and it already had drilled and slotted rotors all the way around. Is this the pads, warped rotors or something else?

Put the car up on stands with blocks under the car as well incase it were to fall, then drive through first gear and see if you can hear the clicking. Have a friend "drive" the car and see if you can isolate where the sound is coming from (which side, etc). Most likely it's a pad/caliper issue, I had the same thing before replacing my brakes.

I was gonna just replace the pads and rotors on both sides on Sunday. I'm just hoping that's all it is. You can actually stand outside the car as I drive by and it is really loud. It wasn't that loud but has gotten louder over the past 2 weeks.
