THought it was my gear/ pinion, but it's not whining. I took it all out, and back in it went. All the bearings are good, and alligned. SOunds like a thumping noise? Maybe the U joints on the d/s, or???
more info please. A thumping noise? is it constant? Does it "thump" at a faster rate during hard acceleration or light acceleration? does it matter if your acceleration or coasting? Does it go away at any certain point? or is it affected only by your speed??
Did you check the wear pattern and back lash when you had it apart???
It had a normal werar on it. Nothing out of the orrdinary. It's occasional. Not slower/faster at speed. I think it's the U-joints. I'm tight on cash, so I don't want to spend the money on them if it isn't in fact them.
