Rearend Upgrade

i.have a 93 lx 4 cyl and im 5.0 swapping but i want to know if i upgrade the rearend first will my stock 4 cylc engine and trany be able to push the gears in it

Yes. It's not any heavier. Might be lowered geared

Thanks for the replies dudes. I'm planning on upgrading everything before too long. The stock rear end is going out and I have an 8.8 out of a blown 5.0 mustang.....I know that in the long run I'm going to have to move fuel lines around/upgrade suspension and everything once the new engine goes in. For sure though the 4 cylinder will be compatible with an 8.8 rear end?

It will bolt in, but the shock and springs for the 5.0 rear axle should be part of the package. That heavier rear axle needs the shocks and springs to match to keep things under control.
