Rebuilt T-5

My fifth gear syncro went and so I had my tranny rebuilt under warranty and added a Tri-ax shifter. Love the shifter, btw.

My question is, how long do I run the new tranny before doing a complete oil change and wanted to know if it is recommended to put synthetic in when I change the oil?

Any other suggestions on driving habits for the new T-5?

my tranny was rebuilt a week ago (ddperformance t5 rebuild kit ) i used regular tranny fluid i read that the t5 are fine using that. I am going to wait about 300 miles before i go driving it like i stole it give the parts time to break in. my buddy who rebuilt the tranny said there was no need to change the fluid any time soon. He's a ford tranny tech.
