I found a very clean set of Recaro's out of a 91 VW. How hard would it be to get these to bolt up into a 91 coupe?

If I could get these to work, I will have to convert to grey interior, but I love these seats...

This is what they look like....

The seats bolt pattern will determine how hard it will be to match the factory mounts.
Most big companys have adaptors, their just not normally cheap.

Take some mesurements of the seat bolt placements and heights from floor.

The mustang mounts are unique.

The Ford Recaro one may fit, youll have to see, that I wouldnt know

I would assume your best bet would be to try and get a set of adapters from recaro, or from a newer mustang that was equipped with them.

I am going to see how much recaro adapters are...

Those look likenice seats! How much do used vw recaro run? I am sure it would be a bargain compared to new ones. Let us know if you find out if they fit, I might go that route.

Im not sure how much they normally go for, but I think I got mine for a steal:D... I will keep you posted on fitment once I actually get to the point of installing them, which probably wont be for a while... I just wanted to get them before they were gone & I missed my chance for a great deal...

why switch interior colors? just recover the seats

That will hopefully be my plan...

These are probably some of the best things I ever scored at a Pick N Pull, especially for the condition & the price.... Now I just gotta figure out a way to get them mounted in a fox, & have to figure out weather or not I am gonna recover them to match my porno red, or swap out everything for grey.... I would rather recover them, because my current interior is in great shape, but d@mn they are cleeeeean.... :patriot:

Wow! What a score...those seats look great! The pull it yard in my area is total crap...
Did you look for a long time or just happen to run across them?

Thanks.... I actually was there yesterday looking for misc. parts for my DD 86 Jetta, & I spotted them... I knew I had to get back there asap or they would be gone quick... You can find them on ebay & various VW forums, but they are A LOT more than $65...

Here is a set on Ebay right now for a decent price....
