Recomend a roll bar...........

I've been looking at the autopower "race" roll bar. I'm looking for a good quality roll bar, the cars not a daily driver, but it's not a track car either. Mostly back roads summer driver. I'm looking for a good 4 point cage with the diaginal brace, something that will save my butt if I slide into a tree or a ditch, and will qauilfy for the Scca Solo and track stuff.

My questions are ....
Will the back seat be useable with that kind of cage?
Is a bolt in cage worth the hassle, is it strong enough to be functional ?
Is the finish good on the autopwer, or should I plan on repainting it from\
being dinged up after shiping ?
Anybody install a roll bar themselves ? Difficulty ?

I had a Autopower 6 point rollbar on my wrecked car before..It is a bolt on bar with the optional removeable cross bar ( The one that braced the front seat and also to mount the shoulder harness on ). There is no problem to get in the rearseat with it removed. The 2 short rear bar are bolted on to the rear speaker box area. It is a good quality rollbar with the standard black paint finish. No need to repaint when I received it. It is not hard to put in at all,just common hand tools and spend time doing it right..But watch for the headliner on the roof of the car. Once you have the main loop in,better that you do not moved it out of the car as it will rip and tear the liner as it is a very tight fit area,have to be .
The above is true for the 6 point drag bar,the road race bar might not allow you to used the rearseatting area ( Unless they offer a removeable brace as a option,which seems unlightly as how that diaginal bar are braced .
And as to the crash worthly of it.It won't save your ass in a 120 mph head on crash or rollover. But you will be a lot more safer then without around town where most of us gets into trouble.
Check out the picture of my wrecked Mustang,the roof will have crush my head or neck if the rollbar are not there. It is insurance when you needed it the most..LOL

When you come up to get the tranny you can look at the roll bars I had put into my car... Art Morrison cut the bars, and a guy up on Camano Island did the welding... Best welding I have ever seen... Absolutely no grinding of the welds and they look beautiful...

I've never heard of Autopower, but I have a Competition engineering 8pt rollbar. I rolled 91 GT back in college, so when I got my 92 LX coupe the first thing I did was install a rollbar. You can never be too safe. I did a rear seat delete, but I could still use the rear seat if I really really needed to.

I am going with the autopower rollbar in my vert as soon as I have the funds for it. A very high quality product, and really reasonable prices.
