Recovering Door Panels

I'm recovering my door panels with a vinyl kit from Late model Restoration and need to staple some of the vinyl to the back side but can't find the correct length staples. Shortest I've found at local hardware stores is 1/4 inch I need 1/2 that length.

I do not see such short staples at Arrow Fasteners, but only looked at the common t50 size. Can you bend the ends over?

The problem is you're stapling from the back side so it would mess up the side that's visible

3M headliner spray adhesive is an answer in that situation. It is stronger than the panel and trim adhesive. Just keep it off your fingers and kept lacquer thinner near by for clean up. It is spray contact cement.
