Hi, I'm new here. In the process of buying a restored 1965 Mustang convertible off of eBay down in south Florida (I am in Tampa). This is kind of on a 30 year whim, always wanted one and came across this and it looks like a good deal and pretty much exactly what it want (from description and photos). I am sure this is not the best way to go about this but I wonder if anyone has a referral to a resource down in that area that could look at that car with me on Friday or Saturday morning. I would like an opinion from someone with some actual restoring. This is going to be a daily driver. Not looking for prefection and I have some mechanical experience. Not really looking for a standard "pre purchase" with all the photo doc, etc. I am certainly planing to compensate for the time and trouble.
Also any references to good mechanics in the Tampa area would be great as well. Thanks for any help - sure I will be back with plenty of questions.
