Hell at Can tire it was business as usual.... That really didn't sit well with me said:
When I was in school in the late 40's and 50's on Nov 11th we went to school as usual but at 11:00
we all observed 2 min of silence.
As did everyone else in Vancouver, the place came to a grinding halt for two min at 11 oclock.
It wasn't a Holiday, everyone worked and went to school, but I think that two min of silence meant more to people than it does today having the whole day off.
Then there's those clowns who work and then take the Fri or the Mon off,That one really turns my crank.
Armistice Day (Remembrance Day) is a day for thanking the people who went out and made sure all us young snots could live in freedom and have and do what we want.
