Remote entry Question

1995 Mustang GT.

The factory remote used to beep when I locked or unlocked the car, now nothing. I can't tell if I locked the car or not from a distance. How do I get the beep back.

Mine Never beeped. But within about 20 feet, I could hear the door locks pop up and down. How far do you want to be to use the remote to lock the doors?5-10 feet should be plenty

does your horn beep when you unlock and lock, or did it use to? Haveyou changed the battery lately? Is it also a factory alarm, or just keyless entry? If a factory alarm, it might be on valet mode, which might be why it's silent.

"stock" setup on the keyless entry should be Unlock doors, lock doors, unlock trunk, and panic mode (horn beeps). Horn does not beep with just the lock/unlock buttons. I cant remember if the lights go on /off when you unlock/lock the doors. My 96 Hoopty Escort's does, and it uses the same remote
