My rear bumper has a few scrapes and scratches in the paint from brushing against some bricks. Is there anyway to get rid of them with any kind of wax or detailing product? Or am I screwed and have to take it to a body shop to get it fixed?

I'd take some pics, but I don't have a digital camera or scanner available.

If the scrapes are into the primer paint you are not going to get them out . If it is scrape on the paint some polishing compound & wax should take it out.

I had the same problem with my GT -- I checked the cost to get it fixed it was close to 450 to repaint. I just called these guys http://www.bumpers.com/productbylist.html and order a prepainted bumper for only 189.99 --

Dude, that is GREAT!!! My girlfriends dad hit me in his drive way and tore my poor stangs ass-end UP!! he is paying for it, so why not save him $200-300 on the job. I may even buy a front end also!!!
