Wise words here. Jeremey, I stand by what I said in my previous post (make sure you know exactly how the component works, and how it is actuated and processed by the computer. As was said, EGR doesnt work at idle or WOT (it works under low demand cruise conditions). And a simulator keeps the CEL off, but it does NOT turn off the EGR function in the computer. You need to do this via a tuning device or tune. If you notice pinging at part throttle (esp. in the summer), remember that this could be it.
