Removing AC

Is there a way to remove the ac compressor and move the power steering pump in its place? I mean like a free way lol except for the belt of coarse. Im buying a dd so I will only use this car when I feel like it. Thanks

you will need a shorter belt. I dont remember the size off-hand. Im sure someone will chime in

The kit that nisreo posted is the best kit for doing this and it's pretty cheap or go to the bone yard and get the brackets from a non a/c car. I used it and it's really easy, it moves the p/s to the factory location of the non a/c cars for a factory finish/look. If the car still has the smog pump or a delete pulley in it's place then you can just get a belt for a non a/c car and you are all set, if it doesn't have the smog pump then run string around the pullies and bring it to the local parts store to match it up. you may still have to play with a few sizes around the one they give you to get it right.

unless you are trying to take weight off the front end the ac pulley spins pretty freely. It is just a weight thing. Good luck finding a cheapo kit.
