Yeah... they suck. Go to your local parts store and get the tool you need to separate the lines. Once you DO have the tool they're still a pain in the ass. All the tool really does is push the lock spring out to uncover the lip inside the fitting. Then you have to pull, prod, cuss, and hold your tongue just right to separate the two halves without bending up or denting the fuel lines. I ended up putting rubber coated channel locks on each side and used a pry bar to spread the channel locks apart while having to hold the damned removal too into the spring lock. One day soon, I plan on cutting all those stupid things out of my car and installing threaded connectors.
