Removing GT emblems

is it just adhesive holding on the emblems?

If so is it very difficult to remove the emblems from the fenders and trunk.

Also, how difficult is it to remove the hood scoop, mine was damaged by hurricane katrina and I wanted to get a new one.

Well my emblems on my 94 were adhesive backed and it took some work but they came off

The emblems can be removed with fishing line behind the badges. Use a gentle sawing motion when you do it and the line will cut its way through the adhesive tape holding the piece on.

You can use Goo Gone when you are done to remove the excess adhesive. Immediately wash the area with soap and water, then apply wax to treat the paint. Hope that helps.

Get a hair dryer or a heat gun to heat up the adhesive before trying to remove the emblems, it makes it a whole lot easier. Then get some solvent to get off the rest of the glue. After that use some compound and wax/polish to go over the area.

don't the 94+ cars have small holes where the emblems on the fenders mount or did they change it for the new edge cars?
